In U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission v. Costco, the Seventh Circuit upheld a jury award of $250,000 to a Costco employee for her hostile work environment claim (brought on her behalf by the EEOC). After a year of stalking and harassment by a Costco customer, the employee took an extended unpaid medical leave of absence and never returned to work....
