According to newly released statistics, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, or HKIAC, experienced 34% growth in the total amount in dispute across all arbitrations in 2018 to $6.7 billion, with the United States jumping from sixth to fourth place for geographical origin of parties.[1] Similarly, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, or SIAC, saw a 73% increase to $7.06 billion total in dispute across all cases in 2018, with the United States moving from fourth to first in foreign parties.[2]...
