Davis is a principal in Fish & Richardson PC's Washington, D.C., office and is an experienced litigator with courtroom and International Trade Commission expertise. One of his highest profile wins was for Paice LLC. Following three federal district court cases, two Federal Circuit appeals, and an ITC Investigation against Toyota over hybrid electric vehicles patents, a confidential settlement favorable to Paice was brokered in 2010. Davis also was co-lead on behalf of Honda Motor Co., successfully defending a 15-patent case related to vehicle telematics. In the ITC, Davis has been lead counsel for Hewlett-Packard, helping the company obtain two general exclusion orders against foreign inkjet ink manufacturers. Recently, Davis delivered a defense win for Expedia, earning a dismissal for lack of standing after discovering that plaintiff Walker Digital had transferred ownership of the patents-in-suit as part of an earlier settlement....
