Law360, New York ( July 17, 2015, 3:59 PM EDT) -- The United Steelworkers (USW) recently petitioned for relief under U.S. anti-dumping and countervailing duty laws on imports of passenger vehicle and light truck tires from China.[1] It was the first anti-dumping and countervailing duty case that had been brought in a very long time[2] by workers without co-petitioner support by one or more of the managements of the domestic producers. Similarly, in 2009, the USW brought the only special safeguard case successful in obtaining relief, which was on the same imports from China and was without visible support from any company's management.
