By Benjamin Horney ( December 10, 2015, 5:33 PM EST) -- U.S. drink can maker Ball Corp.'s proposed £5.4 billion ($8.2 billion) acquisition of U.K. peer Rexam PLC will be approved by the European Commission, according to a Thursday report from Reuters. According to the report, the deal will be given the go-ahead because of the increased concessions Ball Corp. has agreed to, including the sale of a number of plants across Europe, as well as plants in other spots across the world. The EC in October issued a statement of objections to the deal over concerns that the merger could undermine competition. The regulator's probe first began in July....
