By Benjamin Horney ( March 15, 2016, 6:10 PM EDT) -- The government of Russia is preparing to sell stakes in oil company Bashneft Group, diamond producer OJSC Alrosa and VTB Bank, Reuters reported on Tuesday, citing "financial sources." According to the report, the Russian government has begun reaching out to banks to advise on the sale processes. The deals could see a 50.08 percent slice of Bashneft, along with 10.9 percent stakes in Alrosa and VTB up for grabs, the report said, and together the transactions could net as much as 433 billion rubles ($6.1 billion). It was not clear if the government is seeking a single deal in which it unloads all three stakes or if three separate deals with different buyers might be reached, and no timetable was disclosed....
