Gorsuch of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals to fill the U.S. Supreme Court vacancy created by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia. By all accounts, Judge Gorsuch is a brilliant jurist with exactly the right qualifications and temperament to be a Supreme Court justice.[1] The opposition to his nomination thus far has devolved into petty partisan and personal attacks not worthy of a response.[2] His decisions place him directly in the mainstream of American constitutional law — a judicial philosophy that respects the rule of law, protects individual rights, and limits the scope of government power.
