By Benjamin Horney ( June 2, 2017, 9:42 PM EDT) -- Chicago-based branded-food company Conagra Brands Inc. is no longer in pursuit of New Jersey-headquartered packaged foods manufacturer Pinnacle Foods Inc., according to a Friday report from Reuters. The report said talks between the two sides fell apart after they failed to come to terms on a price tag. Rumors that Conagra was interested in Pinnacle began earlier this week, Reuters said, when sources told it that Conagra had approached Pinnacle about making a deal. Conagra owns brands including Orville Redenbacher's popcorn, while Pinnacle is the company behind brands like Duncan Hines and Birds Eye. Pinnacle has a current market value of about $7.2 billion, the report noted, while Conagra is valued at more than $16 billion....
