By Benjamin Horney ( August 4, 2017, 3:31 PM EDT) -- Peers and private equity firms alike have interest in buying assets from Canadian oil company Cenovus Energy Inc., according to a report from Reuters on Friday. According to the report, Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. and ARC Financial Corp. are among those that have already placed bids for a heavy oil project in Pelican Lake, Alberta, that could be valued at as much as C$1 billion ($796 million). Cenovus is separately nearing a deal to sell a different oil project, in Suffield, Alberta, for up to C$600 million, the report said. Cenovus is in the process of attempting to sell as much as C$5 billion worth of assets before 2018, the report noted....
