We Need A Green Amendment

By Maya van Rossum ( December 1, 2017, 4:11 PM EST) -- It's December 2017, and Flint, Michigan, still doesn't have clean drinking water. In Manchester, Texas, children still can't play outside because they're suffering from asthma after oil refineries and petrochemical plants opened near school grounds. Pipelines carrying gas rip through our backyards, damage farmlands and explode in our homes. Our legal system is actually designed to allow it, paving a clear path for big business to enrich themselves at the expense of our families and the nature that sustains us. Unless we establish better legal protections, unscrupulous politicians and corporate greed will continue to rob us of our health, our livelihoods and the planet we need to survive....
