By Linda Chiem ( June 12, 2015, 3:42 PM EDT) -- Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP has opened an outpost in New York City after nabbing former JPMorgan Chase Bank NA executive director Steve Hantz to join the firm as a partner in its real estate capital markets group. In recent years, Nelson Mullins said it's been looking for potential candidates and groups of lawyers in New York City to open a Manhattan office that would support the firm's capital markets, private equity, public securities, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate practices. In Hantz, they've found a corporate and financial services whiz who spent the past seven years at JPMorgan in the commercial mortgage-backed securities loan closing group, structuring and closing CMBS loans for multiborrower securitizations and large loans for single-borrower securitizations. Previously, Hantz had a similar role at the now-defunct Bear Stearns. Meanwhile, Nelson Mullins also nabbed associate Gillian Deutch from Watson Farley & Williams LLP for the New York office, bringing with her real estate and corporate finance experience....
