Caterpillar Workers' Spouses Lose Benefits Bid In 6th Circ.
The Sixth Circuit ruled Monday that surviving spouses of Caterpillar Inc. employees cannot make the machinery company provide them with lifetime no-cost medical benefits, as they claimed was promised in a collective bargaining agreement, because they filed their lawsuit too late.
