A California federal judge refused to award $5.9 million in requested fees Friday to attorneys for plaintiffs settling multidistrict litigation over an alleged antenna defect on Apple Inc.'s iPhone 4, finding a multiplier was inappropriate and signing off on a $2.16 payment million instead.
