Cisco Strikes $2.7M Deal With Innovatio In Wi-Fi Patent Row
Networking equipment giant Cisco Systems Inc. has agreed to pay $2.7 million to end licensing claims brought against the company and its customers by Innovatio IP Ventures LLC in a closely watched case over standard-essential Wi-Fi patents, Cisco announced on Thursday.

Router Makers Blast Innovatio Over Nonessential Claims
Cisco Systems Inc., Motorola Solutions Inc. and other router makers filed a brief Friday disputing Innovatio IP Ventures' claim that some of its wireless patents are not standards-essential and blasting the nonpracticing entity for trying to "shirk" its obligation to reasonable and nondiscriminatory licensing.
