CORRECTED: Ocwen Reaches $56M Deal In Investors' Suit
Ocwen Financial Corp. announced in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday that it has reached a $56 million settlement to resolve a stock-drop suit stemming from the company’s problematic servicing operations. Ocwen, Altisource Securities Fraud Actions Thrown Out
A West Palm Beach, Florida, federal judge on Friday threw out two stock-drop suits against mortgage servicer Ocwen Financial Corp., one of which also named Ocwen spin-off Altisource Portfolio Solutions SA, finding the class action claims tied to regulatory actions in New York fell short of establishing potential securities fraud liability.
