Law Firm Challenges Yellow Cab Chicago's Ch. 11 Plan
The plan by Chicago's Yellow Cab unit to sell off its bankrupt business appears to be a poorly disguised attempt by its owners to free themselves from $40 million in liabilities in order to repurchase the company for a pittance, according to objections filed by Clifford Law Offices and the company's unsecured creditors committee Monday.

A Yellow Cab subsidiary that slid into Chapter 11 following an accident that severely injured a real estate attorney can continue making monthly payments to the company that keeps its day-to-day operations running, an Illinois federal judge said Wednesday, overruling objections by a creditors committee.

Greenberg Traurig Can't Rep Cab Co. In Ch. 11: Trustee
The U.S. Trustee monitoring the bankruptcy of Chicago taxi company Yellow Cab Affiliation Inc. asked a New York federal judge on Thursday to block the troubled transporter from employing Greenberg Traurig LLP as co-counsel, saying payment guarantees made by company shareholders undermine the "disinteredness" of the attorneys.
