Coffee Co.'s Venue Dispute After TC Heartland Came Too Late
A California federal judge has ruled that coffee pod maker Eko Brands LLC waited too long after TC Heartland to challenge venue in a rival's patent suit against it, a decision that came days after the rival was found to infringe Eko's own patents in a separate case.

Reusable Coffee Pod Co. Says It Didn't Flout Rival's Patent
A producer of reusable pods for single-serving coffee makers asked a Washington federal judge Thursday to rule it did not infringe a rival's patent, citing a difference in design, and said an International Trade Commission ruling supports axing parts of the patent.
