A Manhattan federal judge denied stock promoter Eric Dany's bid to escape a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission fraud suit Wednesday, finding that the regulator sufficiently alleged the newsletter publisher was the maker of allegedly fraudulent statements that hyped Bakken oil and gas player Norstra Energy Inc.
