Three World Law Group affiliates will pay the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau $107 million in a settlement reached Tuesday for allegedly running a debt-relief scheme that cost consumers millions, according to documents filed in Florida federal court. Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated three World Law affiliates reached a $107 million proposed settlement with the CFPB when, in fact, the parties settled on a suspended judgment of $107 million. The error has been corrected.
