Citigroup Unit Hit With RICO Suit Over Property Inspections
Citigroup Inc.'s mortgage unit and a contractor violated the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act by inappropriately inspecting the properties of people who fell behind on their mortgages and then charging fees related to those inspections, according to a putative class action filed Thursday in Illinois federal court.
