A California federal judge has agreed to toss a suit brought by a man claiming to be the chairman of the Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians alleging current and former officials conspired to push him out of the tribe, saying the court can't hear the case because of tribal sovereign immunity.

Calif. Tribal Officials Seek Sanctions Over RICO Suit
Current and former officials of the Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians asked a California federal judge on Tuesday for sanctions in a suit by a man claiming to be the chairman of the tribe, arguing that the man's claims the officials conspired to push him out of the tribe are "just another effort to interfere with tribal governance."
