GEO Fight Against Wash. State's Private Prison Ban Now Moot
A Washington federal judge has thrown out prison giant GEO Group's lawsuit challenging a Washington ban on private detention facilities, agreeing with the state that the case is now moot since it has agreed not to enforce the law following a Ninth Circuit decision that found such bans illegal.
