Female Public Defenders Settle Bias Case With Pa. County
A proposed class of unionized female public defenders on Friday settled civil rights claims against Delaware County, Pennsylvania, nearly three years after suing their employer for alleged "systemic, enduring and continuing wage disparity" between male and female attorneys in suburban Philadelphia.

Pa. County Must Still Face Female Public Defenders' Bias Suit
Pennsylvania's Delaware County Public Defender's Office got some claims trimmed Friday from a federal lawsuit alleging it discriminated against female attorneys, but it will still have to face allegations related to nonpay discrimination and damages that accrued before 2019, according to court records.

Pa. County Favored Male Public Defenders, Suit Says
A pattern of gender-based discrimination was uncovered last year following the unionization of the Delaware County, Pennsylvania, public defender's office, according to a federal lawsuit filed by a group of female attorneys who claim they were paid less and treated differently than their male colleagues for years.
