MINUTE ORDER (Text Only Entry) signed by Magistrate Judge Erin Guy Castillo on 7/24/2026: The Court has reviewed Plaintiff Vera's Motion to Amend the Complaint (Doc. 8 ), and Defendant's Opposition (Doc. 11 ). The Court finds that the present record fails to demonstrate complete, good faith compliance with the Court's meet and confer requirements. The meet and confer requirements are designed to conserve the extremely scarce resources of this overburdened Court and are therefore NOT OPTIONAL. Therefore, within 14 days of the date of this order, the parties are directed to meet and confer regarding the filed motion to amend the complaint. If after that process the parties remain unable to resolve their dispute, Defendant Vera SHALL file an amended motion within 14 days of the meet and confer. Of course, the Court would welcome any reasonable stipulation. Accordingly, the Motion to Amend the Complaint, (Doc. 8 ) is DISMISSED without prejudice and the hearing on the motion set for August 12, 2026, is VACATED. (Deputy Clerk YV)
