Show Cause
ORDER: The Court orders Plaintiff to show cause by explaining in a court filing by September 22, 2026, why the Court should not sanction Plaintiff for failing to participate in discovery in good faith. Specifically, Defendant Safeway has asked the Court to (1) allow Safeway to notice a second deposition of Plaintiff and order Plaintiff to pay all attorney's fees and costs necessary to conduct the second deposition (which the Court estimates would be a several thousand dollar discovery sanction) or (2) exclude any evidence in support of Plaintiff's claims that he did not disclose prior to the close of discovery and (3) deem Safeway's Requests for Admission Nos. 14-16 and 20-22 admitted. Ordered by Magistrate Judge Stacie F. Beckerman. (Deposited in outgoing mail to Plaintiff on 9/8/2026.) (gw)
