By Benjamin Horney ( March 28, 2017, 5:28 PM EDT) -- CVC Capital Partners has decided to sell Ista International GmbH, with Reuters reporting on Tuesday that the German smart meter business could be worth as much as €4 billion ($4.3 billion) in a deal. The private equity firm will send out information packs to potential suitors around Easter, the report said. Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, which already holds a minority ownership in Ista, plans to make a joint bid with Borealis AG, the report said, and others including Allianz SE, the Government of Singapore Investment Corp. and Ontario Teachers Pension Plan are also expected to have interest. CVC has been mulling a sale of Ista since at least September, when reports said the company had hired Goldman Sachs Group Inc. to assist with a potential sale process....
