The Patent Trial and Appeal Board has agreed to review Microsoft's challenges to three computer patents transferred to the St. Regis Mohawk tribe by a company that works with Lockheed Martin on an Army surveillance radar system, rejecting contentions that the inter partes reviews wouldn't serve national security interests.

PTAB Won't Pause Tribal Patent Cases For Immunity Appeal
The Patent Trial and Appeal Board has decided not to delay Microsoft's challenges to six computer technology patents owned by the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe, which wanted to halt proceedings while it asks the U.S. Supreme Court whether tribal immunity shields the patents from review.
