Products containing CBD, one of many cannabis-derived compounds, are not a new occurrence, but the Dec. 20, 2018, change in the legal status of hemp under the 2018 Farm Bill is driving the influx of hemp-derived CBD products in the market amid confusion about their legal status. Hemp's legalization did not authorize hemp-derived CBD's inclusion in foods and dietary supplements, but many companies are, nonetheless, marketing and selling consumable products that contain CBD....
