By Karlee Weinmann ( February 28, 2014, 3:25 PM EST) -- AT&T Inc. executives are still plotting out a European expansion, even after promising British regulators they would hold off on a big-ticket acquisition play for telecom giant Vodafone Group PLC, according to a Friday report from Bloomberg. Top brass from the Texas-based company met with investors in Spain to discuss plans for scooping up cable assets and digging into mature European economies, where a wave of dealmaking has swept over the telecom sector. Still, AT&T is expected to make a run at Vodafone after a regulator-imposed moratorium on making an offer lapses in five months. AT&T has said it is willing to pursue big-ticket strategic deals and is confident it can integrate cable offerings into its phone-dominated business....
