Law360, New York ( May 16, 2013, 3:03 PM EDT) -- Title I of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act substantially rewrote the IPO rules for a new category of issuer called an emerging growth company (EGC) when it became law in April 2012. This article summarizes an analysis of 184 EGC IPOs that, as of March 31, 2013, (1) had priced or (2) were publicly in registration with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and, in our opinion, were likely to complete an IPO.
