By Karlee Weinmann ( March 3, 2014, 1:24 PM EST) -- Numericable SA and backer Altice SA are cobbling together a bid worth roughly $20 billion to join with the French telecommunications business of Vivendi SA, according to a Monday report from Bloomberg. The offer will include about $15.2 billion in cash, with the rest coming in the form of Numericable's cable assets and a capital increase by Altice. The firms have yet to lob a formal proposal but billionaire Patrick Drahi, who controls both Numericable and Altice, has already nailed down $11 billion in debt. Vivendi had previously suggested it would spin off its SFR unit, the No. 2 mobile provider in France....
