By Benjamin Horney ( August 18, 2014, 6:53 PM EDT) -- Telecom Italia SpA is ramping up its efforts to outbid Spain's Telefonica SA and acquire Vivendi SA's Brazilian broadband unit GVT, Reuters reported Monday. Telecom Italia could offer up to €7 billion ($9.4 billion) for GVT, the report said. According to the report, Telecom Italia's offer includes a stipulation that Vivendi would acquire a 20 percent holding in Telecom Italia. Last week, reports surfaced that Vivendi Chairman Vincent Bollore and Telecom Italia's CEO were scheduled to meet to discuss a potential offer....
