Deals Rumor Mill: Broadcom, CVS, Belfius

By Benjamin Horney ( November 3, 2017, 5:58 PM EDT) -- Broadcom Ltd. is readying an unsolicited offer to buy fellow chipmaker Qualcomm Inc. , with Bloomberg reporting on Friday that a takeover approach could be made as early as this weekend and might value Qualcomm at $100 billion or more. According to the report, Broadcom's offer will be a mix of cash and stock, and will value Qualcomm shares at around $70 apiece. The report also cautioned that it is possible Broadcom will choose not to go ahead with an offer. . . .
