King & Spalding Calls Claims It Colluded With GM 'Baseless'
King & Spalding LLP, which represents General Motors Co. in multidistrict litigation over faulty ignition switches, trashed an attempt by plaintiffs to see the firm's work product on Friday, calling the bid to grab the otherwise protected documents under the crime-fraud exception "baseless and defamatory."

Plaintiffs in multidistrict litigation accusing General Motors Co. of selling vehicles with faulty ignition switches urged a federal judge on Thursday to compel GM to produce communications with its law firm, King & Spalding LLP, under the crime-fraud exception, saying credible evidence indicates the company conspired with its firm to hide the defect.
