This Court prefers to conduct mediations in person because, in this Court's experience, they are more conducive to a productive and effective discussion. Here, defendant requests that its adjuster, Ray Rogers, be allowed to attend the mediation by telephone because he will be occupied by other matters on that date at defendant's Philadelphia office. Under such circumstances, it appears that appearance by telephone would be a hindrance to the mediation. Accordingly, the motion is denied. (AHH)
