In 2013, Pennsylvania casinos generated $3.1 billion in gaming revenue — making Pennsylvania the second-largest casino market in the United States, trailing only Nevada. The $3.1 billion in gaming revenue brought in $1.4 billion in state and local taxes in 2013. Despite generating these healthy gaming revenue and tax numbers, 2013 marked the first year-over-year decline in gaming revenues, albeit slight, since casino gaming began in Pennsylvania eight years ago....
