By Benjamin Horney ( September 14, 2016, 6:02 PM EDT) -- Private equity firm CVC Capital Partners is considering selling its German smart meter business, known as Ista International GmbH, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday. According to the report, CVC anticipates fetching far more than the €3.1 billion ($3.5 billion) it paid to acquire the unit three years ago, and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. has been tapped to assist on the sale process. Peers of Germany-based Ista International could be interested, the report said, as could other buyout firms. Ista International, which focuses on heat and water meters in apartment buildings and commercial properties, using technology to help customers monitor and reduce their usage, posted €810.4 million in sales last year alone, the report added....
