Steinglass switches topics to Karen McDougal, a Playboy model who was allegedly shopping a story in June 2016 about a supposed year-long affair with Trump. Pecker says he told National Enquirer editor-in-chief Dylan Howard to check it out.
Cohen was all over him about this story, Pecker testifies.
“Michael Cohen was very agitated, it [seemed] like he was under a lot of pressure,” Pecker says. “He kept calling and every time he seemed more anxious.”
Pecker says he suspected Trump was the source of Cohen's stress.
The trial is breaking early today for Passover and will resume on Thursday.
