|Davidson testifies how he was frustrated by the on-again, off-again deal.
But while evidence shows that Cohen ultimately came through, Davidson says he initially didn’t believe Trump’s attorney when he called to tell him “everything is A-OK and we’re sending you the money.”
At that time, Davidson said Cohen was “sort of a pants on fire kind of guy.” He recalls Cohen talking to multiple people with a phone on each ear. The witness then likened Cohen to the distractible dog in the animated movie “Up.”
Justice Merchan decides that’s enough for the day and wraps up around 4:30 p.m.
After the jury departs, the judge reminds the parties that he will hear arguments at 9:30 a.m. Thursday on the prosecution’s pending motion to hold Trump in contempt for four additional alleged violations of the court’s gag order.
We are adjourned.
